You can have Pain Relief without drugs at New Leaf Natural Therapies.  Our lovely clinic in Wynnum provides a range of services: if you live elsewhere here are some ideas for you to look for when finding a clinic to take care of your pain - you too, can have pain relief without drugs, pain relief without medication!

Find the reasons for your pain and FIX THEM!  What? There are reasons for my pain?  Find a clinic that can do some scientific testing/treatments in order to achieve the following outcomes…

  1. How acidic are you?  Knowing this number (both saliva and urinary) and working towards the optimal ph (7.2-7.35) will halt the destruction of joints, bones and organs.  Acidity creates an environment where just about every health problem can be created.  Jacqueline Dekoke ND recently had a client with massive health issues and got his acidity from 5.5 to 7.4 within 4 weeks.  Then the healing can begin!
  2. How much excess fluid is your body holding?  Our VLA  or Bio-impedance analysis machine let’s us know EXACTLY how much fluid is inside the cells and how much fluid is on the outside.  This also let’s us know how much excess fluid your body is holding.  WHY?  Because the body is clever, and it’s trying to dilute toxins, acidity and inflammation.  We find that this process takes some time:  we have trillions of cells in our body and to detoxify each one, takes a lot of time!
  3. Massage therapies:  Find yourself a fabulous massage therapist, like Ms Alison Honour, someone who can put together a treatment plan for you.  If your massage therapist has a plan - then work with them and trust them.  If it doesn’t feel like they’re helping you with your pain relief, then find someone else.  For example, with Alison’s combination of reflexology, remedial massage, shiatsu, lymphatic drainage and acupuncture, she’s a perfect choice - find a passionate massage therapist who’ll get your pain issues under control.
  4. How inflamed are you?  We use several testing processes to find out how inflamed you are:  Live Blood Analysis (signs such as fibrin, rouleaux, blood stickiness, protoplasts, red crystals…); bio-impedance analysis (let’s us know how leaky and stressed your cells are).  Once you know how inflamed your body is you can use natural anti-inflammatories with NO SIDE EFFECTS such as kinex AI, kaprex and inflavonoid intensive care.  We also use Frequency Specific Microcurrent for reducing inflammation and regeneration of joints, ligaments and tendons.

It’s time to find your own natural therapies clinic that can do that for you!

Jacqueline Dekoke ND is a wonderful therapist who’s been working at New Leaf Natural Therapies since 2008.  Having over 20 years in the massage industry and along with adding naturopathy and kinesiology to her skillbase, she’s a well-balanced practitioner who is passionate about health.

Jacqueline has helped many people through conditions such as pain relief, with our Chronic Pain Programme (using Frequency Specific Microcurrent); Infrared sauna therapy, Bowen Technique and Kinesiology techniques which balance our structural problems.  Using our FSM equipment and our structural kinesiology balancing she has seen huge improvement with chronic foot, knee and hip problems, spinal issues such as chronic disc pain and more.

With kinesiology Jacqueline has been working for many years testing for food intolerances, along with chemical sensitivities.  She uses a combination of natural therapies and kinesiology in order to boost immunity and balance food intolerances.

Using N.O.T. Neural Organisational Technique, as developed by Dr Carl Ferrari, she uses a technique to boost the immune system and/or endocrine system, and then uses this technique to assess sensitivities and intolerances.  Severe sensitivites and intolerances can create full-blown allergens the more depressed the immune system is.

By working with the body as a whole, Jacqueline has seen many people recover fully from food sensitivities.  With Live Blood Analysis, using only 1 drop of your blood, she can tell whether or not the body is in an allergic state, or whether kinesiology and food sensitivity testing and balancing and treatments will create the improvement people are after!

Regardless of the health problem, Jacq’s passion for nutritional improvement in people’s life, helping them cope with the stresses of daily life and her calm and gentle manner help to make her an excellent therapist who may be just what you’re looking for!

Key highlights of November’s Pain Seminar at New Leaf Natural Therapies were interesting…  Attendees were from different walks of life, with varying levels of pain and inflammatory conditions: gut pain, arthritis, fibromyalgia, exhaustion & chronic fatigue syndrome, rheumatoid arthritis, menstrual pain, insomnia, depression and anxiety…

When you put it all together pain, regardless of the type, comes from the same causes which were discussed:

  1. chronic nutritional deficiences such as magnesium, calcium, potassium and B vitamins
  2. inflammation
  3. acidity
  4. toxicity
  5. structural imbalances and
  6. stress… leading to the fight and flight response

Our clinical and scientific testing processes can measure these problems and then our naturopathic supplements and treatments can start to reverse these problems in the body.

Are there any side-effects of natural therapies?  Having been in the industry for 20 years I have a lot of thoughts on this.  People respond in different ways to different therapies.

Imagine an elderly person, on many medications, who has her first massage in years: a gentle relaxation massage.  Imagine some of the muscle starting to release toxins - inflammatory hormones being released into the bloodstream, coupled with a lack of hydration since medications dehydrate the system so much!  Link that to a huge magnesium deficiency created by a lifetime of poor diet, excess tea and coffee and depletion via the medication and you end up with pain after a massage…  a side-effect???

There needs to be support for natural therapies for pensioners!  The only healthcare the elderly can often afford is medical drugs with it’s huge government assistance.  It’s devastating for us to speak to people every single day who cannot afford our services and yet they get unhealthier and unhealthier following a ‘medical lifestyle’!  This needs to be changed!

Kinesiology: What is it??

Kinesiology: the definition of kinesiology is a little tricky since there are so many forms, developed with different processes in mind.  In general kinesiology is about muscle movement and muscle testing, therefore we use muscle testing to find out what’s going on inside the body.  We use different ‘muscle testing’ techniques depending on who we are treating and what we are treating them for.

Kinesiology was developed originally in the 1950’s by renegade chiropractors in the U.S., who were sick to death of treating the same condition week in, week out.   George Goodheart went to China and learned acupuncture philosophy, so acupressure and acupuncture meridians, points, and emotions are highly integrated within most kinesiology models.

Physios used ‘kinesiology’ techniques in the 1950’s as well to find out how damaged a persons muscles were after a bout of polio, or after the polio vaccines, so we add in the structural muscular knowledge from this side of medicine as well.  Richard Utt, Gordon Dickson ND & Charles Krebs PhD all developed various kinesiology processes which have created the overall process now known as LEAP (Learning Enhancement Advanced Acupressure) system which helps people with learning problems, memory issues, behavioural problems such as ADHD, ADD, Aspergers, Autism and more.

Carl Ferrari D.C. combined chiropractic with Touch for Health and other modalities to develop N.O.T. (Neural Organisational Technique) which is fabulous in re-booting the nervous system from head to toe, supporting long-term issues such as whiplashes, jaw and hip problems, scoliosis and more.  Both Linda Hoggard ND and Madonna Guy ND have been using N.O.T. since 1996 and have found it invaluable in treating long term health problems such as chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia.  Jacqueline Dekoke ND is the primary practitioner dealing with finding allergies, dealing with sensitivities and helping overcome long term immune system issues with the Endocrine and Immune Balancing processes.

All of our kinesiologists are also naturopaths so we utilise our knowledge within both spheres to ensure people get the most out of our treatments.  The types of kinesiology that we do are very non-invasive: we may find a time-line that’s important to clear (ie, father unwell at 8 years old, creates a fear pattern in our brain around loss or lack of security for example) but we don’t delve on these old patterns very long, we simply store the information and move on, clearing the stressors as we find them.

Our Fat-Loss Programme

We use a really cool system in our fat loss programme – a machine which lets us know EXACTLY what is going on with your body composition, each and every step of the way!  Your body composition is the key to longer-lasting fat-loss!  It’s simple, we want you to maintain OR ADD TO your muscle mass, and we want you to decrease fat mass and excess cellular fluid.  Our practitioners:  Madonna Guy ND, Jacqueline Dekoke ND and Linda Hoggard ND all have specific training in Bio-Impedance Analysis – which accurately measures your body composition.  Our girls also know when things are going wrong on the road to good health – have you been stressed, sabotaging yourself, given up on exercise.  Our weekly sessions keep you motivated and up and running so you get trim and stay trim long term.

The number on the scales is just a number.  Imagine this scenario: I hopped on the scales on Saturday and only weighed 200g less than the week before (bummer) – when I did the Bio-Impedance Analysis, however, I found that my fat mass had reduced by 700g and my muscle mass had increased by 500g.  So it was only a net loss of 200g.  The brain only wants the number (of course) but people get that and so much more with us!

Our fat-loss programme is designed to prevent thyroid disease, hashimotos, diabetes, heart disease, cancer, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia and much more.  Come on in and give it a try!

We’re having a few small talks in November 2009, about pain drugs – getting off the pain drug merry-go-round!  Sounds like a familiar story for someone you know and love?  Or you maybe?  Without drugs life just isn’t worth living, but with the drugs it’s not much chop either??!!

Pain drug useage is so common, people don’t think twice about it.  Panadols are $2 for 24 tablets – how easy it is to get addicted to these drugs and what are they doing to our health?  An aspirin a day for the Over 50’s; so many people on blood thinners, blood pressure tablets, pain killers, many drugs which are seen to be as life-long habits.  One per day.  Easy.  Not that we’re saying get off your drugs, but there are other alternatives which many doctors and specialists simply don’t know about.

The problem with the body is that everytime we take a drug we are not just affecting the system we want to affect.  Blood thinners don’t just thin the blood, they thin the gut lining (often causing leaky-gut which we see easily in our live blood analysis) too.  Blood pressure tablets aim at slowing blood pressure, but it often causes side effects such as weight gain and exhaustion.  Pain drugs numb the pain but don’t fix the problem.

What’s the solution?  Come along to our free talk on Wednesday morning or Thursday evening, meet Madonna & see what New Leaf Natural Therapies has to offer!

Everyone gets $150 bonus for attending – can you pass that up??

How often do you hear from someone that ‘it’s in the genes!’ - heart disease, diabetes, blood pressure: no more can we use that excuse!! Read on…

So much is now known about the ageing process that wasn’t known 15 years ago.  It’s what I love about current research and attending symposiums on genetic research, true anti-ageing ‘medicine’ and reversing chronic disease.  This is what we do here at New Leaf.

We have technology such as Frequency Specific Microcurrent which helps reduce inflammation, pain and chronic disease patterns, we use supplements which increase Stem Cell Production, we have supplements which gently repair and regenerate areas of the body, brain and nervous system.  We have listened and learned from experts all around the world who are using natural therapies to reverse dementia, depression and type II diabetes.

We can see in our live blood analysis when people already have a ‘dodgy gene’ activated within their immune system.  What’s really exciting is that seems to take 3-4 months to reverse.  Studies in the USA show that we can reverse 70-80 dodgy genes every 3-4 months with a healthy lifestyle, supplementation and a good mental attitude.  There’s a particular white blood cell called a monocyte which should have only 1 nucleus.  When it has 2 or more nucleii, it means we’re on a downhill slide of ‘dodgy gene activation’.  It is very well known now, that just because we have the gene for something, doesn’t mean we will get the disease.  The disease must be ‘activated’ somehow, usually by our diets and lifestyle.

Some medications at the symposium in June 2009 were mentioned as being drugs which activated dodgy genes in many study participants.

We are confident that a healthier way of life is available to everyone on the planet.  We know from experience that 99% of people can be helped.  We look forward to nurturing many clients in years to come take their health to a level they never thought was possible.
